Database Developer

Location – New York, NY

Job Description:
The Snowflake and Matillion Expert will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our data warehouse and ETL processes. This role requires extensive experience with Snowflake, Matillion, and related data integration tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture, data modeling, and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, test, and deploy ETL pipelines using Matillion.
Integrate various data sources into Snowflake using Matillion.modelling
Ensure data quality and consistency across ETL processes.
Data Architecture and Modeling:
Design and implement data models to support business requirements.
Work with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical requirements.
Implement best practices for data architecture and data governance.
Performance Tuning and Optimization:
Monitor and optimize the performance of ETL processes and data queries.
Implement strategies for efficient data loading, transformation, and retrieval.
Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues.

Job Requirements:

·       Proven experience as a Snowflake and Matillion expert, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.

·       In-depth knowledge of Snowflake architecture, features, and best practices.

·       Extensive experience with Matillion ETL, including pipeline development and optimization.

·       Strong SQL skills and experience with complex query development and optimization.

·       Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance.

·       Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related services.

·       Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

·       Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

·       Snowflake and/or Matillion certifications.

·       Experience with additional ETL tools and data integration platforms.

·       Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages.

·       Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

·       Understanding of CI/CD processes and tools.
